Happy Easter, everybody!

This is JC visiting the mall bunny during Easter of 2006 . He had just turned one, and he wanted no part of the bunny. The look of sheer terror on his face was followed by several seconds of shrieking - just long enough for me to snap a picture and Curtis to grab him off of the bunnies lap... Each year since this photo was takedn I haved posted it as my profile pic on myspace during the Spring and everyone thinks it is so funny. I have begun calling it "Easter Terror."

I just thought I would share since I am taking JC for Easter pictures tonight.

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Easter as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Blessed Savior.

Apalled

Appalled... that is all I have to say about last night's Idol results show...

Carly in the bottom three????
Amanda going home before KLC????

I was glad I got to spend the evening and watch the results with Mom and Dad (what a treat!), who were just apalled as I.

The only other thing I will say is...

is this season's

Ugh...

Fun Weekend

What a great weekend we had! Friday, I took JC to spend the night with his cousins, Ella Clare and Cullen in Eupora. This was his first spend-the-night with anyone other than grandparents and he did great. He had a great time, and I am thankful to Brad and Jen for keeping him. While he was at their house, I was at Girl Scout camp. It was my first time to go and actually spend the night, and I LOVED it!!! We had Fairy Myst, for Brownies.

On Sunday, we decided to go see MSU's third game of the weekend against Ole Miss, and we WON!!! In fact, it was almost a no-hitter, until the Rebs got a hit with only one out left in the 8th inning... Oh well, still a great game with the Bulldogs winning 4-0! Go dawgs!!!

After the game, we took a little tour of campus, and boy has it changed since we were there... The Union is AWESOME!!! We also toured the newly renovated McCool Hall since that is where Curtis spent the majority of his time at State. It is really nice too! As you can see from our pictures, campus is so beautiful in the spring with everything in bloom!

JC on the Bulldog outside of McCool Hall.

Curtis took this great shot of the Chapel of Memories.

My sweet, little bulldog in front of the daffodils on the Chapel yard.

This is Duncan. His owners were walking him on the Drill Field, and with Curtis and JC in their maroon we had to get a picture. The owners were happy to let them pose!

After our visit to MSU, we went to our favorite place to eat in Bulldog Country, Oby's!!! It was, as always, delish!!! Before leaving, Curtis asked the manager (as he always does) when the Oby's in Tupelo would open. They assured him that it won't be long. It will be located in the fast-growing Fairpark District. Can't wait!!!

Then, although our bellies were already oh so full from Oby's, we tried out the Coldstone Creamery for the first time. Even though we were too full to finish our sweet treats they were delightful!

Such a GREAT weekend! Hope yours was too!!!

Can't wait to see you!!!

OK, so I know this is an old picture... circa 2004, but we both looked really cute in it, so I decided to post it. This was right before Jonathan and Teresa moved to Delaware the first time, I believe. This was also right before I found out JC was on the way...

Anywho, cannot wait to see you, Teresa! I miss you!!!

Seriously, America? Seriously?

What?! I agree that David Hernandez should have been in the bottom three too, but he shouldn't have been the one to go home last night... C'mon America, what are you people thinking???

Idol Chat... Goodbye Kristy Lee Cook

Oh my... what a risk she took turning "Eight days a week" into a hoedown. Like Simon, I thought it was "horrendous." Even Curtis, who is usually a fan of Kristy's did not like it. It couldn't have ended fast enough for me. Goodbye Kristy - I bet America will agree that you were definitely the worst of the night. I am sure Curtis will miss your country voice and your strange dancing/gyrating on stage...

Now this guy, on the other hand... I like him - a lot!!! Even though I did not know the song he sang, I thought it was GREAT!

JC and Davis

Saturday evening after the snow was all melted, we went over to our friends' Valerie and Gabe's beautiful new home for dinner and so the boys could play. Their little boy, Davis, is JC's buddy and for the most part the boys played well together. (There were only a couple of scraps... sorry again, Davis.)

JC and Davis are a month and a half apart, and before they were born, we adults were inseperable. Valerie and I shared all the ins and outs of pregnancy with each other, including going to child-birth classes as a foursome. We were together a lot. Then, when the babies came along, we didn't see each other as much - well, really, just on their birthdays.

Saturday night, we made a pact to see each other more... and I hope we do. You guys are the best!

Fun with Frosty

That is Mr. Potato Head's hat, by the way... I wanted to use all of his features on the snowman, but JC had a fit about it...

Mississippi Snow

Yeah!!!! It snowed!!!! I was so happy JC got to experience this! It sarted snowing in Tupelo Friday afternoon and didn't stop until late that night. JC and I were out in the falling snow most of the evening, and of course Curtis joined us when he got home. It was magical! The most fun we have had in a while!!!

"Paula is so coot"

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I LOVE Paula Deen! She is like the coolest... She reminds me so much of the women on the Harrison side of my family. I also love that her Southern roots run deep!

Recently, JC found that when he is not watching cartoons he doesn't mind watching a little FOOD Network with me. He loves Paula too - which I think is great. He loves that she says, "Hey ya'll" at the beginning of each show. One day we were watching and I said, "Oh, Paula is just so cute!" So, now every time we watch, JC says, "Paula is so coot" (cute - in 3-year old dialect). I love this!!!

We love you Paula! Keep cooking and JC and I will keep watching! From our kitchen to yours, best dishes!!!

Red Neckery at its best!

Feb. 29, 2008... Every time the ad for the Monster Truck Jam would come on TV, JC would have a fit. So, as a little Friday night treat we decided to take him. Definitely a new experience for the Robertson family... (Notice the cotton in our ears - it was LOUD!)

The monster trucks, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and BMX stunts were cool, but I especially enjoyed the vast array of mullets I saw around me. I was afraid taking pictures would be rude... :)

LIttle Slugger

JC had a great time playing baseball with his neighbor friend, John Logan! John Logan plays baseball, so he felt pretty special being able to give JC some pointers. :)

No Sugar Bugs!

JC saw the dentist this week, and what a trooper he was! He did such a good job and was such a big boy. They said everything looked great and he has no sugar bugs / cavities! Yipee!!!
Brushing with his new toothbrush he got to pick out. It has Donkey from "Shrek" on it!

Rinsing and getting 2 stickers. He picked Spiderman of course.

Counting his teeth.

Laying back for Dr. Warriner.

Little fisherman

I had to work last Saturday in the Girl Scout cookie cupboards, so Curtis decided to take JC fishing since the weather was pretty. He used his new Spiderman fishing pole that Grammy and Papaw gave him for his birthday. Curtis said he enjoyed it for just a minute, but the fish were not biting so he got bored pretty fast. We will have to try again on a better fishing day.
