"Thank God for letting me get on the fire truck."

I just wanted to share a sweet story about my sweet boy with you.

JC's first week in the three-year-old room at daycare was awesome. They were doing a unit on jobs and the class was visited by people from different professions throughout the week. His favorite was not the dentist or the policeman, but the FIREMAN! The fireman brought fire hats for everyone, junior fireman badges (stickers) and a coloring book on fire safety (Yes folks, JC knows all about "Stop, drop and roll."). But, the best part by far was that all of the three-year-olds got to get on the firetruck. It was AWESOME! All he could talk about for two weeks.

Now, every night after we say his prayers, "Now I lay me down to sleep," I ask him if he has anything special to pray for, and almost every night he answers, "Thank God for letting me get on the fire truck."

How sweet is that? Couldn't you just eat him up?

A boy and his dog...

JC and Daisy Dog are such good friends. The weather was so pretty Monday afternoon that we were able to go outside and spend a lot of time with her.

American Idol

For the most part, I am enjoying American Idol this season. It is something to look forward to on TV while none of my other shows are on... not much longer though. "The Office" will be back April 10. Yeah!!! My favorites on Idol this season are:

David Cook

Michael Johns

David Archuleta

The girls are OK, but eh... I like the guys. The only girl I really like so far is Carly. My favorite Idol, however is showcased in the videos that follow. Please notice the Tinkertoy mic stand and guitar. Sorry these are a little dark. I am still learning the nuances of my new camera.

Beside the guitar malfunctions, don't you agree he's the best? Not sure what that Zoom Zoom song was. I think he was making it up as he went. :)

Joining the blogging world

The Robertsons have joined the blogging world. This way we can share thoughts, updates, photos and videos (if I can figure out how) all in one convenient spot. Enjoy!

I have gotten pretty addicted to looking at the blogs of folks I do not even know; so strangers, if you are reading this, hello!

This picture was taken Valentine's Day. It is one of the first family shots in a while. Somehow we made it through Thanksgiving, Christmas and all three birthdays without a picture of all three of us. So, I am pretty proud we got this one.

The Saturday after Valentine's Day we were sitting down to breakfast when the mailman delivered a package to our door. It was from my dear best friend, Teresa in Delaware. It was a beautiful frame that had "Faith, hope, love" etched into it. I was so happy I had a recent picture for it. JC and I ran to Wal-mart that afternoon and printed this picture in sepia tone for the frame. Thanks, Teresa! It looks great! Love you!

For those of you keeping up with Curtis' health issues, he is going for his second sleep study tonight. They will hook him up to the CPAP machine to see if it helps. Thanks to everyone who has been praying for him. The everyday headaches have subsided some, and he has only had two bad ones in the last couple of weeks. The Lord has blessed us. We continue to look for ways to ease the migraines.
